How it works
Rent tools and equipment instead of buying them — and let out your own things when they would otherwise just sit around. Either way, it takes four steps.
For renters
From searching to returning — and what happens to your money along the way.
Find
Search for exactly what you need, or browse the map around you. Every listing shows the price, the available period and whether a deposit is required before you request anything.
Request
Pick your period and send a request. It is non-binding: while it is open, your payment method is not touched — not even with a hold.
Acceptance and payment
Once the provider accepts, the contract comes about — and only then do you pay. You have 24 hours for that. If they decline or do not answer, nothing has happened and you incur no costs.
Handover and return
You meet in person. At handover and return you record the condition together — with photos if needed, and both of you countersign. Afterwards you can rate each other.
For providers
Private or business — both paths are equal here.
List
Describe your item, upload photos and set your price. To publish you need at least one photo and a configured payout profile — without both we could not send you any money in the end.
Answer requests
When a request comes in, we notify you by email and in the app. You accept or decline — the contract comes about with your acceptance, and the renter then has 24 hours to pay.
Hand over
You meet at the agreed time and create a handover protocol together. It takes two minutes and it is the record both of you can rely on if something does come up.
Get paid
Your payout is initiated after the return has been confirmed. It goes to the account you set up. When it arrives depends on your bank's payout schedule.
Who pays what
As a renter you pay exactly the amount shown in the listing. There is no additional service fee here — what you see is what is charged.
As a provider you receive 80 %. The remaining 20 % is our platform fee; it is withheld from your payout and covers operations, payment processing and support. The account itself is free, and there are no base or listing fees.
If plans change
You can withdraw a request that has not been accepted yet at any time — no money has moved.
After acceptance, cancelling is possible up to the day before the rental starts. What you get back in that case is shown to you before you confirm. If the provider cancels, you get the full amount back.
If you cannot agree about the condition or the deposit, either side can open a dispute in the booking. We hold the money until it is settled.
What others see of you
The marketplace is public — your account is not.
- Public: display name, profile picture, ratings and your listings with the approximate location.
- Never visible: email address, payment details and your full address.
- Only after acceptance does the other side receive what is needed for the handover — not already at the request stage.
