We measure nothing until you allow it. Essential functions always run; everything else is your decision — and you can withdraw it at any time.
Show what you've built, ask when you're stuck and share what worked. In the community you meet people from your city who like to get their hands dirty — all with a verified identity.
Myfundus started with a simple question: why buy a drill when all you need is a hole in the wall? Renting answers that for the tool. But every tool comes with know-how — which one fits, how to use it properly, what goes wrong the first time. Often someone in your city already has that know-how.
We believe a city gets more done when the people in it know about each other. If you see that someone in your city is laying the same patio right now, you're more likely to ask than to try it alone. And if you're good at something, there's a place where it helps someone. That's why the community is organised by city rather than being one big forum for everyone.
A hands-on tip can save you a bad buy. Ask, and you get answers from people who've done it — not from an ad.
Questions and projects come from people who live where you live. You see who's getting things done in your city, and you help where you know your stuff.
The same idea as renting: a tool that's shared doesn't have to be bought by everyone. Know-how that's shared doesn't have to be worked out by everyone.
Read moreThe community has two areas: the feed for projects and the topics for questions, tips and discussions.
Share what you've built, repaired or renovated, with up to 4 photos. If you rented something for it on Myfundus, link up to 3 items with “Rented here”, and readers get straight to the listing via “Rent”. “Rented here” only works with your own completed rental, so it's always backed by a real one. Others can give you a heart or comment.
In six topics you ask a question, share a tip or start a discussion. Replies appear below, and an upvote shows that a question, tip or discussion helped you.
Walls, floors, tiles, drywall, painting
Which tool for what, how to use it, working safely
Patio, paving, fences, lawn, hedges
Building, sanding, oiling, restoring furniture
Repair instead of throwing away, rebuilding, reusing
Manufacturers, new models, experiences, comparisons
Only people who are signed in and have confirmed their identity can read and post: renters with ID and a selfie via our payment provider Stripe, providers by setting up their payout account. Suspended accounts aren't part of it.
A person on our team reviews every report, and whoever reported it hears our decision. The person concerned doesn't learn who reported them. If we remove something, we say why — and the decision can be challenged.
Use the “…” menu to report a post or comment by someone else, or to block the person. You then no longer see their posts and comments, and they can't comment on yours. Without an account, without a verified identity or with a suspended account, you report content by email to hilfe@myfundus.com: say which content is affected and why, and confirm that your information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Before publishing, we automatically check posts and comments for contact details and clearly offensive terms — nothing else. Whether published content is removed is always decided by a person.
On upload we strip embedded metadata such as location, time taken and device ID.
Posts appear in the order they're published. We don't analyse how you use the community to suggest content, and we don't use it for advertising.
What belongs in the community and what doesn't is set out in section 10a of our terms (in German).
Read section 10aOffers, wanted ads, prices and advertising don't belong in posts — you offer items through a listing. Business members carry the “Business” label and may talk about their work, but not ask people to buy or rent.
There are no direct messages — replies go on the post, where members can see them, and contact details aren't allowed. You message each other only around a booking, as before.
Criticism of a specific person or rental belongs in a rating or a report, not in a post.
Advice from other members doesn't replace the operating manual or the lender's instructions. Work on electrical, gas and water lines in the house belongs in the hands of a professional.
Your account is free. If you already have one, just sign in.
As a renter with ID and a selfie via Stripe. If you've set up your payout account as a provider, this is already done. The check is free.
That sets the city you post in.
No. Your account, the identity check and the community are free.
Only signed-in members with a verified identity — from every city, since anyone can read everywhere. The community isn't public, and we don't make it available to search engines; only this page is public, and it shows no posts. Others see your display name and profile picture, and on posts also your city, where applicable your district and, for a business account, the “Business” label. Your display name links to your public marketplace profile. Since you can only post in your own city, a comment also reveals your city, but not your district. If you link an item with “Rented here”, others see which listing you rented, with its current rental price, and the listing shows who offers it. We don't show when you rented it or what you paid.
Not without a verified identity: only people who have confirmed their identity can join — that's what makes the community reliable. To others, though, you post under your display name, which you can change in your profile; they don't see your address. And if you report something, the person concerned won't learn it was you.
No. Offers, wanted ads, prices and advertising don't belong in posts, and neither do contact details such as a phone number, email address, postal address or messenger name. If the check before publishing flags something, the post doesn't appear; you're told why and can change it. If you work for a manufacturer or retailer you write about, say so in your post.
They stay yours. We show them in the community on our website and in our app — we only use them for advertising if you agree separately. You can withdraw any post or comment at any time, and deleting your account does the same for all your content. If something has been reported, we keep it until the report is settled and the objection period has expired; it is then visible only to the people reviewing it.
When someone comments on your post, you get a notification in Myfundus and, if you've allowed push notifications, on your device. You can turn this off in your notification settings.
Show your city — or first ask how others would go about it.
The community is new. Your project might be the first in your city.
